We are Ken and Laurie Nickels and we are the team behind Kelevtov Studios.  I produce all the pieces you will see here on the website and my lovely wife completely supports me.  Without her love and support, none of this would be possible.  Trust me, her job is much more difficult than mine.

The main idea behind the lamps is taking old, worn out parts and giving them new life.  We have done that with the gauges, oilers, and so many other parts in the lamps.  It is so rewarding to be able to save these parts from potentially going to landfills and being able to do something we hope others will enjoy.  We think they are awesome and we hope you do, too.

In case you were wondering, "kelevtov" means "good dog" in Hebrew.  Seeing how we love all dogs and all dogs are good, it seemed like the perfect name of our studio.

Below is a picture of me with our good dog, Truman.  Laurie doesn't like being in the pictures and Truman was happy to take her place, though he may not look too happy.
